Ingredients

  • vegetable oil 
  • 1 kg clams
  •  1 tbsp garlic, crushed
  •  1 tbsp ginger
  •  2-3 shallots, crushed
  •  ½ tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  •  ½ tbsp balsamic vinegar

Cooking method

  1. Heat wok well with a little vegetable oil. Add clams, garlic, ginger and chopped shallots. When the clams are steamed, remove from wok.
  2. Pour off some of the cooking liquid, leaving at least 3 tablespoons. Add chilli sauce and vinegar. Place half-shell clams on plate and coat with sauce. Savour the taste.
