Ingredients
- 12 Pacific oysters
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 tspn sesame oil
- 1 tbspn mirin
- 1 tspn sugar
- ½ cup marinated wakame (seaweed)
- 2 tbspn of pickled ginger, shredded

Seafood used

Cooking method
- Preheat barbecue to medium heat.
- Mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, mirin and sugar. Set aside.
- Fill a bowl with cold water. Turn oysters upside down, gently rinse in the water then shake off the excess.
- Remove oysters from the shell, rinse shells then place oysters back in and and spoon sauce over the oysters.
- Place oysters on the char grill side of the barbecue and cook for approximately 1-2 minutes, until they go slightly plump (cooked but juicy).
- Remove from the barbecue, arrange on a platter and top each oyster with a teaspoon of wakame and some pickled ginger.
